The launch of The Mission to Seafarers Happy At Sea native mobile app is now available to download on Apple iOS Store and Google Play Store. The app underpins the charity’s strategic objective – improving communication between The Mission staff and seafarers across the globe.

The app serves a pivotal role in bridging the communication between the Mission and seafarers. Its primary objective is to strengthen the ties between the charity and seafarers from all corners of the globe. The app stands as a testament to the importance of both connectivity and interaction whilst at sea. Through it, seafarers are not only connected with the charity but also with their peers, promoting unity and camaraderie.

Seafarers can now gain instant access to crucial aid from our dedicated port chaplains, as well as a wealth of well-being resources and up-to-date news, in just a few taps, via the new mobile app. The mobile app will help accelerate the communication of vital information with seafarers, enabling Mission staff to deliver instantaneous content updates and announcements. Seafarers will now have the ability to access content on the mobile app, without needing internet connectivity, whilst away at sea. 🌊

We knew a content solution was needed, so we built a Laravel content management platform that allows the Mission staff to easily control app content, and deploy announcement uploads in real time.

The app enables seafarers to effortlessly gain access to vital supporting resources, and track their journeys across the globe, thanks to a convenient one-tap check-in process at ports worldwide.
